The Historical Museum Advisory Board presents a Lunch-and-Learn Series at the Museum. Join the Museum as we talk quilts with Jeanette Beaudry, Graham Historical Museum Board Member. There will be an emphasis on vintage quilts and details on how to date an heirloom quilt. Beaudry has collected an extensive library of reference books on quilt patterns, their history, and photographs. She has attended seminars on vintage quilts at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, as well as the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, and other local museums and organizations.
This program will take place in the outdoor courtyard of the Graham Historical Museum (rain or shine, we will move indoors in the case of inclement weather). Bring your sack lunch and a friend. Admission is free, but seating is limited, and registration is required.
Can’t make it to a Lunch-and-Learn? You can also watch it LIVE online on the City of Graham’s YouTube channel, and recordings of past Lunch-and-Learn programs are also available.
During the month of April – June, the Graham Historical Museum is featuring the “Vintage Quilts Exhibit” exhibit, including quilts handcrafted over 50 years ago.
