On 09/26/2020 a group organized a demonstration titled “March on Graham”. The Graham Police Department initiated contact with the organizers on 09/23/2020, once we were made aware of the event. We made preparations to ensure the event could be held in a safe manner. The crowd was estimated at 200. Once the group made its way into Courtsquare at least 7 arrests were made. Officers with the Graham Police Department made two arrests. At the time of this release details surrounding those arrests are unavailable. The other arrests were made by another department. If you are wanting immediate information related to the arrests that information can be obtained from the Alamance County Magistrates Office. More information will be released when available.
