About the Graham Recreation Commission
The Recreation Commission is made up of 6 appointed members and is intended to act as the recreation liaison between the citizens of the city, Graham City Council, and the staff of the Recreation and Parks Department. Their primary function is to recommend policies and programs to the Recreation Director and Graham City Council within the scope of responsibilities as outlined in town ordinances. Recreation Commission members also provide input and guidance on the development of long-range plans for the Department including direction on program offerings and the development of recreational facilities.

The Sports Hall of Fame is a Subcommittee of the Recreation Commission. This committee recognizes the noteworthy athletic tradition of the Graham Community by honoring and memorializing individuals, teams, and/or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to this tradition. Monthly Meetings
When: 2nd Wednesday of each month • The Graham Recreation Commission’s December meeting (12/11) has been canceled.
Time: 6:30pm
Location: Graham Historical Museum • 135 West Elm Street, Graham, NC 27253

How to Serve
If you are a resident of the City of Graham, you are eligible to serve on the Recreation Commission. The six members of the board are appointed by the Graham City Council. Individuals interested in serving on this commission should have an interest in providing input and guidance in the development of long-range plans for the Recreation and Parks Department including direction on program offerings and the development of recreation facilities.
