Safe Kids Alamance County and the City of Graham Planning, Fire, Police, and Recreation & Parks Departments invite families to the Spokes & Safety Bike Rodeo for a “Wheelie Good Time”! The first 50 youth participants are eligible to receive a FREE bicycle helmet. The City of Graham Planning Department was the recipient of the Bicycle Helmet Initiative Grant from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. At check-in, children will be properly fitted with a bicycle helmet.
The bike rodeo is a great way for kids and their parents/guardians to learn about biking safety with practice, including helmet checks, proper bike fitting, and information about how to ride safely. Kids are invited to bring their bikes and practice and develop skills that will help them to become better bicyclists and avoid typical crashes. A limited number of extra bikes will be on hand if you cannot bring your own.
